Position Overview

This full-time, onsite position in Los Angeles, CA, offers a salary range of $49,000 - $52,000.

About the Role

The Administrative Assistant II will provide essential administrative support to the Airport Development Group Cost Accounting Team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of accounting support functions and data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with consultant timekeeping services.
  • Prepare and route budgetary memos and requests.
  • Update charge code lists, contract budget authorizations, and monthly expenditure data.
  • Maintain and update electronic files in shared environments.
  • Train new users on the Timekeeping app.
  • Provide general administrative support to the group as needed.
  • Perform various administrative, clerical, data collection, data entry, and report writing tasks.
  • Gather, review, and combine statistical and general data into established reports.
  • Scan documents and reports as required.
  • Develop new or revise existing reports in spreadsheet, graphical, or narrative formats.
  • Verify gathered data, such as matching supplier invoices against file copies.
  • Distribute reports as directed.
  • Originate correspondence and reports not requiring supervisor's direct attention.
  • Prepare general correspondence and maintain general files.
  • Answer telephones, take and relay messages, screen callers, and direct calls.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail.
  • Maintain an organized workspace.
  • Contribute to the advancement of TDG’s goals through productive collaboration.

Hardware/Software Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and utilization of MS Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of TDG policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Self-starter with multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to complete assignments independently.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, dynamic team environment.
  • Proven record of accomplishments in office administration.
  • Prolog experience.
  • Flexible attitude to changing conditions.
  • Accountable and dependable.

Education

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and five years or more of relevant work experience.

Work Schedule

  • This position offers a hybrid/telework schedule: Telework on Monday and Friday; Onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please refer to LAWA’s Pilot Policy for details.
