About the Role

Comoto is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead and professionalize the Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will optimize the existing vendor ecosystem and mature procurement processes. This role requires a high-level collaborator adept at navigating a complex retail landscape, refining contract standards, and ensuring strategic vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Master the Spend Map: Take ownership of all non-merchandise spend, transforming fragmented departmental purchasing into a cohesive, high-leverage strategy.
• Negotiate with Purpose: Lead high-stakes negotiations, focusing on long-term value, service levels, and risk protection.
• Bridge the Gap: Act as a strategic consultant to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), guiding vendor selections that align with specific goals.
• Build the Engine: Design and implement best-in-class procurement processes that are scalable, transparent, and built for a high-growth environment.
• Protect the Road: Deeply analyze contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor commitment to success and minimize organizational exposure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years leading strategy for non-inventory (GNFR) goods and services.
• Deep mastery of procurement best practices and experience professionalizing existing functions.
• Documented track record of securing favorable contract terms and protecting the business through rigorous SLA enforcement.
• Data-driven problem solver skilled in spend analysis to identify efficiencies.
• Proven ability to build credibility and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Proficiency in modern procurement tools; Coupa experience is a significant plus.
• Natural leadership ability to manage a team and drive results; CSCP, CPIM, or CIPS certification is a strong signal of expertise.

Work Environment

Local candidates will be asked to maintain a hybrid schedule, requiring 2-3 days per week in our Navy Yard office.
