Role Overview
Nuvei, a prominent Canadian fintech company, is accelerating the business of clients worldwide with its advanced payment processing technology. We are looking for an Analyst I, Account Recovery Management to join our team in Bogota, Colombia, offering a Hybrid/Remote work model.
About the Role
In this role, you will identify and process ACH and Transaction rejects. Your responsibilities will include reviewing accounts to validate and update merchant banking information, maintaining internal tracking, generating reports, notifying merchants of rejects, resolving reject issues, placing merchants on hold, monitoring held accounts, and resubmitting rejects to secure funds.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Identify rejects using back-end reporting and settlement systems (e.g., e-connections and Green screens).
- Place merchants on hold and monitor these accounts.
- Update multiple internal CRM and tracking databases when rejects are reprocessed.
- Create reports using Excel.
- Communicate with merchants regarding reject issues.
- Fix rejects and resubmit them to recover funds, requiring detailed and logical reasoning.
- Update bank account information for merchants.
- Perform any other assigned tasks.
Qualifications (Skills/Experience)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the Credit Card processing industry; banking experience, preferably with ACH, is a plus.
- Good practical knowledge of Excel and MS Access.
- Customer service experience.
- Sound judgment, strong problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (a must).
- Resourceful individual capable of taking initiative.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Working Language
- English (written and spoken) is the primary language of communication, used 99% of the time, with geographically dispersed colleagues and clientele.
- Internal communications may occur in English or French, depending on the parties involved. Strategic suppliers are located outside of Quebec.
- Basic knowledge of French is required for positions located within Quebec. English is mandatory for this position due to potential reporting lines outside of Quebec and frequent out-of-province communications.
