Role Overview

As a crucial member of the Business Applications team, you will support major digital transformation initiatives and drive operational excellence across the organization. Your analytical skills and ability to connect big-picture goals with detailed business and technical requirements will be vital for Universal Audio's continued growth as a leader in the music products industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with external/internal customers and stakeholders to analyze information and business needs, delivering functional and technical requirements to applications development teams.
• Deliver solutions that successfully translate desired business outcomes.
• Identify business process best practices and work with key stakeholders to implement process improvements.
• Conduct prototypes, develop functional specifications, and perform data mapping in NetSuite and integrated third-party applications.
• Lead test plan development, execution, and UAT/demo coordination.
• Gather requirements through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, use cases, data, and workflow analysis.
• Deconstruct high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.
• Investigate processes and perform root cause analysis for incidents and problems.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Retrieve and analyze data from multiple sources to create reports for business functions, providing primary support for daily reporting and responding to ad hoc requests.
• Assist with system configuration, including fields, workflows, roles/permissions, rules, reports, and dashboards.
• Act as the liaison between business functions and technology teams.
• Support IT compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, information security, GDPR).
• Train the IT team and business users on new features and functionality.
• Resolve product issues by opening, updating, and escalating service tickets with product vendors.
• Proficiency in using AI tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT, is a significant plus.

• Ability to work under limited direction with a moderate degree of maturity, discretion, and judgment.
• Exposure to working with SLAs, Change Control processes, and project tracking systems like Jira.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting accounting operations in manufacturing and software subscriptions domains.
• Hands-on experience with leading SaaS/Cloud solutions such as NetSuite, Avalara, Shopify, BOOMI, etc.
• Strong blend of business sense and process knowledge: Ability to evaluate holistically, considering objectives, impacts, best practices, and scalability.
• Multi-tasking and prioritization expertise; experience balancing numerous priorities and demands.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and interact with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with an Onsite/Offshore model is preferred.
• Well-versed with tools/systems/processes for compliance with regulations and governance like SOX.
• Proven experience in implementing/using AI agents to solve complex problems.

Working Setup

• Location: Scotts Valley, CA (Hybrid). Open to candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 USD per year. Base salary/hourly rate will be based on the cost of labor for the city/state in which the new hire resides at the time of hire.
