The Role

We are looking for a Digital Strategist, Paid Media to join our team for a limited term ending November 13, 2026. You will lead a portfolio of select clients, independently managing digital programs to our award-winning standard with management support. This position is a union role represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the paid media client lead, owning the growth of digital fundraising programs across channels like Meta, Search, P2P Texting, and List Growth.
  • Develop, set, and execute all aspects of clients' digital paid media fundraising strategies, including media planning, projections, and content development, to meet client goals.
  • Collaborate with internal paid media ad ops teams to execute and optimize the paid media program.
  • Brainstorm and develop creative ideas for clients, write, fact-check, and proofread content, ensuring it aligns with the client's authentic voice and remains relevant and timely.
  • Respond to breaking news in real-time by assisting in drafting ads and texts.
  • Lead relevant client communications.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture to improve the overall work product.
  • Work with designers, email strategists, and vendor partners to meet client needs.
  • Stay current with digital trends and new tools to make cutting-edge recommendations based on best practices.
  • Tailor paid media fundraising strategies to unique client needs and circumstances, seeking opportunities for innovation.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on new digital tools and emerging technologies being tested by Authentic.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of issues and a passion for electing Democratic candidates and advancing the progressive movement.
  • Transferable experience from a previous role or a short period in a similar position.
  • Experience working in advertising platforms like Facebook and Google Ads, and CRMs like NGP and ActionKit.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and setting strategy for a client.
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in stakeholder or client management, copywriting, and digital ad campaigns.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed for rapid response moments.
  • Eager to learn and self-educate.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000/year
  • Term: Limited-term ending November 13, 2026
  • Location: Remote (All states except CA, NY, or WA)
