Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of commodity group strategies in the area of steel (sheets, profiles, forgings, castings).
• Analysis of national and international procurement markets.
• Selection, qualification, and development of suppliers.
• Independent negotiation of framework agreements, price, and condition agreements.
• Execution of cost analyses and implementation of savings potentials.
• Close collaboration with design, production, and quality assurance.
• Risk management in the supply chain (availability, price volatility, geopolitical risks).
• Support for make-or-buy decisions.
• Clarification of escalations within the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the industrial sector or a related field.
• Curiosity and passion for technology and economic contexts.
• Confident demeanor and assertiveness, especially in negotiations.
• Experience in dealing with international suppliers.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
• High willingness to travel.
