Our Training Solutions Team works to demystify this tradecraft through innovative lab design, development, deployment, and training delivery.

The Role: Training Architect

We are looking for a Training Architect to join our Training Solutions Team. This role is crucial for the successful delivery of our training courses. You will collaborate with Course Architects and clients to design and develop hands-on labs, create repeatable lab deployments using automation tools, and deploy them into cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Lab Availability: Maintain the functionality and availability of training labs for all course offerings.
  • Lab Design and Development: Partner with Course Architects to design hands-on labs that complement course content and provide practical, real-world experiences.
  • Proof of Concept Lab Creation: Develop scalable and repeatable proof-of-concept labs using Ansible playbooks (or similar tools) for automated deployment and configuration.
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) Design and Development: Lead the end-to-end development of CTF products, managing projects from design to client communication, facilitating cross-departmental development, and guiding teams to meet deadlines.
  • Cloud Deployment: Deploy labs into OpenStack and AWS environments, ensuring accessibility for training participants.
  • Lab Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including setup guides, troubleshooting resources, and lab manuals, updating as needed.
  • Technical Support: Provide timely technical support to instructors and participants during training sessions, resolving lab-related issues promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular testing and QA checks to ensure labs are functional and error-free, collaborating on improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience with automated infrastructure and configuration technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in client communication and delivering presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage internal projects.
  • Skills in scoping engagements, participating in technical testing, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Effective communication of project successes and obstacles to clients, team members, and management.
  • Ability to coordinate and prepare for internal and client-facing meetings.
  • Capability to lead projects for infrastructure development, automated deployments, and technology maintenance.
  • Willingness to develop and refine processes across multiple departments.
  • Eagerness to learn from others.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
  • Ability to contribute to and improve training course content and assist in course delivery.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (average 10-25% annually).
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
