About the Role

PrimeVigilance is looking for a Medical Information Associate to work US hours, responsible for supporting the Medical Information team in handling initial adverse event and medical information inquiries in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide approved responses to medical inquiries from external US customers (healthcare professionals, patients, pharmaceutical clients), including call handling.
  • Accurately identify, document, and report adverse events/side effects, pregnancy and other special situation events, and product quality complaints within required timeframes.
  • Ensure all medical information inquiries are tracked and fully documented within the Medical Information database accurately and completely.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours provision of medical information for clients who have contracted a 24/7 inquiry handling service.
  • Provide management with regular updates regarding project status and metrics concerning inquiries.
  • Assist in departmental regulatory inspection preparedness for the company's pharmacovigilance system and actively participate in PV inspections or audits.

Requirements

  • Life science/biomedical background – healthcare-related degree (chemistry, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy, nursing).
  • Due to the nature of this home-based position and the need to handle confidential patient and healthcare professional communications, candidates must have a reliable high-speed broadband internet connection and access to a private, dedicated workspace. A shared family or common living area is not considered suitable, as maintaining privacy and confidentiality is essential.
  • Customer service or call center experience preferred.
  • Comfortable receiving inquiries by phone.
  • Comfortable working US working hours/shifts.
  • Ability to perform out-of-hours service if required.
  • Time and issue management, delegation, organization, and multitasking skills with good attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced English skills, both verbal and written.
