The Role

The Associate IT Engineer is responsible for assisting with building, testing, and maintaining technical products and platforms in support of Casey's strategic objectives. This may involve coordination on projects and system maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of existing and new technical solutions by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement, as directed by senior team members.
• Maintain the roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure development work is prioritized according to business requirements.
• Monitor, identify, assess, and solve straightforward software problems to ensure fully functioning applications software.
• Proactively learn basic engineering and business industry best practices, while also learning situationally from senior team members.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain straightforward automated unit tests to ensure the quality of the solution being built.
• Research and suggest improvements to enhance the quality of the technical solution and supporting infrastructure to better meet user needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship (now or in the future). Casey's will not provide sponsorship.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent years of related work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience building and maintaining technical solutions in a business environment.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively with other IT professionals and business partners.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to remain organized and self-motivated.
• Prioritizes and organizes assignments for efficient time utilization with significant attention to detail.
• Capable of identifying problems, analyzing, and evaluating information to determine solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• Technical knowledge with hands-on experience in MS Azure, SQL, & C#.

Compensation

• Starting pay range: $66,000 - $90,800. Actual pay may vary based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications, as well as local prevailing wages and internal equity.
• This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance.
• The full salary range extends beyond the listed hiring range, allowing for team member growth.

Work Arrangement

• This role does not allow for 100% remote work.
• Qualified candidates must live within daily commuting distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA and be willing to work onsite 5 days per week.
