About the Company

The RMD Rhein-Main Deponie GmbH and MTR Main-Taunus-Recycling GmbH operate the Rhein-Main Deponiepark, including the Flörsheim-Wicker landfill. The group manages facilities for disposal and recycling, energy generation from renewable sources, and is responsible for landfill aftercare, remediation, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Energy management (within the EMAS environmental management system) at the Brandholz and Wicker sites (CHP units and PV systems).
  • Supervision of the landfill gas capture system (DGEA) for the Wicker landfill.
  • Technical billing of electricity and heat (CHP units).
  • Collection of energy and production data, analysis of energy input and consumption.
  • Revenue forecasting (electricity, heat).
  • Coordination, documentation, and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Liaison with authorities, grid operators, and direct marketers.
  • Adherence to reporting obligations for electricity and heat.
  • Point of contact for electricity marketing (direct marketers and grid operators).
  • Point of contact for the external auditor for the annual EEG environmental audit and validations (EMAS) for the energy management sector.
  • Preparation of annual reports.
  • Optimization of electricity and heat feeding and supply to the sites, considering self-consumption, identifying energy-saving potentials, and developing efficiency measures.
  • Supervision, optimization, evaluation, and gas forecast planning of the DGEA.
  • Project work, including independent project planning, evaluation of comprehensive operating data, and creation of economic feasibility studies.
  • Evaluation and assessment of operating data.
  • Monitoring, implementation, and updating of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) according to BQS 10-1 landfill gas.
  • Coordination, documentation, and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Coordination with relevant authorities.
  • Coordination, commissioning, and supervision of maintenance/repair work for the DGEA upon agreement and approval from the department head.
  • Budget and aftercare cost planning in coordination with cost center managers.
  • Review of extensive technical designs, including tender documents, considering plant/permit status.
  • Support for local construction management on technically complex projects and their billing.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Foundational knowledge of process engineering, gas engine technology, and gas measurement technology.
  • Basic business administration knowledge, order processing, and billing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of energy marketing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting legal texts and regulations.
  • Initial professional experience in the aforementioned task areas is advantageous.
  • Very good MS Office skills.
  • Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
