About the Role

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will provide short-term, solution-focused interventions to Sonder Members in a virtual setting. You will assist members with a wide range of mental health presentations, including anxiety, mood disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, workplace/university demands, interpersonal conflict, trauma, and gender identity concerns. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of Registered Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers, Registered Nurses, on-call GPs, and support coordinators, all backed by experienced governance and leadership.

This is ideally a permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week), with flexibility for part-time (minimum 4 days per week) considered for exceptional candidates. The role includes a comprehensive salary package and authorized in-house supervision.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing short-term, solution-focused interventions.
  • Delivering evidence-based psychological assessment, clinical formulation, treatment planning, and therapy across multiple modalities.
  • Utilizing a collaborative, person-centered approach to set achievable treatment goals with members.
  • Employing clinical screening tools for assessment, progression, and outcome measurement.
  • Contributing expertise to a multidisciplinary team focused on optimal health outcomes.
  • Working within a stepped care model that supports professional growth and boundary management.
  • Participating in fortnightly 1:1 supervision and weekly group supervision sessions led by an AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, including:
  • Evidence-based, person-centered, and recovery-focused formulation, treatment planning, and delivery.
  • Experience providing mental health interventions in a virtual, high-volume setting.
  • Ability to manage remote patient risk and understand referral pathways.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary case collaboration and managing dual customer/stakeholder needs.
  • Experience with diverse presentations, symptom experiences, and diagnostic clusters across a varied patient cohort.
  • Experience in workplace health and wellbeing.
  • Previous experience working within a short-term and solution-focused model of care.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary health teams.
  • Unrestricted Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
  • Adaptability to change and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility in therapeutic approach, tailoring interventions to meet member needs.
