About Oowlish Ventures Labs

Oowlish Ventures Labs functions as the venture-building arm, acting as the tech co-founder for promising founders. The team takes full ownership of product and engineering execution in exchange for equity. Their focus is on building vertical AI products that automate labor workflows, aiming to ship MVPs within six months and achieve breakeven within 18 months.

About the Role

This role involves owning the complete product creation cycle for new ventures, from discovery and scoping to architecture, AI-driven development, validation, and launch. You will translate founder visions and advisor input into working products, making key decisions on architecture, data models, integrations, and infrastructure. The role emphasizes an AI-native approach, utilizing agentic coding tools as the primary development method, complemented by rigorous engineering practices for review, testing, and debugging. You will also be responsible for ensuring production quality through QA, monitoring, and reliability, and coordinating other Oowlish engineers as ventures scale.

What You Will Do

• Own the full product creation cycle for new ventures: discovery, definition, scoping, architecture, build, testing, launch, and iteration.
• Translate founder visions and advisor input into clear product specifications and working software.
• Employ an AI-first development approach, using agentic coding tools as the primary method, with the engineering rigor to review, test, and debug outputs.
• Make critical architecture decisions, including data models, integrations, and infrastructure trade-offs.
• Validate concepts before building through prototypes, user testing, and direct customer conversations.
• Ensure production quality via QA, debugging, monitoring, and reliability practices.
• Coordinate and manage additional Oowlish engineers as ventures scale beyond a single builder.

What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Engineering degree (ideally Computer Science); other engineering disciplines are welcome, emphasizing structured thinking and a scientific mindset.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a track record of shipping complete, user-facing products. Full-stack experience is preferred.
• 2+ years in a Product Management role, with experience owning discovery, prioritization, and delivery.
• An AI-native workflow: daily use of agentic coding tools, with the ability to demonstrate a product built primarily with them.
• Startup experience, comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of early-stage companies.
• Professional working English proficiency for direct collaboration with US-based founders and advisors.
• Based in Latin America.

Strongly Preferred:

• Founder or co-founder experience (CEO, CPO, or CTO), including ventures that did not succeed.
• Experience taking a product from inception to its first paying customers.
• Exposure to outcome-based or value-based business models.
