About the Role

As a Product Lead at SKALAR, you will be instrumental in defining the product vision and owning the roadmap from strategic prioritization to measurable rollout. You will lead product launches from idea to impact, ensuring client satisfaction through deep user understanding and a data-driven approach. This role is at the forefront of AI innovation, pushing the boundaries of how AI reshapes product development.

Responsibilities

• Vision & Roadmap: Define the product vision and own the roadmap end-to-end, from strategic prioritization to measurable rollout.
• Lead Product Launches: Own the journey from idea to launch, delivering real, measurable impact.
• Client Proximity: Conduct structured user discovery (interviews, shadowing, feedback synthesis) to become the user's voice and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
• Design & UX: Maintain a high visual standard, reviewing and editing components, and ensuring the best possible user experience.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Time-to-Filing, automation rate, client satisfaction, and advisor efficiency, steering features with data.
• Frontier AI Work: Push the boundaries of AI in product development and lead the charge in how AI reshapes product work, driven by curiosity.
• Company Leadership: Act as the connective tissue between Clients, Engineering, Design, Tax Advisory, and Founders, setting the product culture.

Qualifications

• Product Experience: 5+ years in product management within B2B SaaS, FinTech, Finance, Tax, or a similarly complex environment, with a proven track record from vision to execution.
• AI Track Record: Demonstrated experience using AI in daily work, showcasing AI-native workflows beyond basic tools like ChatGPT.
• Client Understanding: Build genuine empathy for both advisors and clients to translate needs into a superior product experience.
• Eye for Design: Figma fluency at a review level and enthusiasm for strong UI/UX principles.
• AI Enthusiasm: Daily use and critique of AI products, with hands-on familiarity with tools like Claude Cowork/Design/Code or similar.
• Self-Implementation: Proactive approach to unblocking tasks through prototyping, prompt testing, and integration.
• Structured Thinking: Ability to reduce complexity to clear, decision-driven outcomes using frameworks like MECE and first principles.
• Communication: Excellent English (C2). German is a strong plus.
• Domain Background: Experience in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or adjacent domains is a strong plus, as is familiarity with accounting/finance software stacks.
