TEAM: Teammate Driving (Features)
The Teammate Driving (Features) team is dedicated to realizing stable AD/ADAS systems for Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) as an automated driving product. We achieve this by using sensors to recognize and judge situations and appropriately control the vehicle. Our ultimate goal is to provide customers with unprecedented automated driving experiences and a new lifestyle.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a Software Engineer, you will develop robust and optimal software for AD/ADAS systems. We are seeking individuals with experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Robotics or automated driving systems
- Path/Motion planning
- Motion controlling
You should possess a strong passion for developing and delivering AD/ADAS products that are used globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in the end-to-end development of AD/ADAS products. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining requirements, coding, testing, and evaluating software components.
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams within Woven.
- Working in cross-functional teams to create safer and more reliable AD/ADAS systems.
- Developing and integrating components of AD/ADAS products to enhance functionality and performance.
- Evaluating software components through simulations and real-world vehicle tests.
- Ensuring high-quality software delivery through rigorous testing and code reviews for product readiness.
- Continuously reviewing and enhancing development processes, including workflows and CI/CD practices.
- Reporting to the driving feature engineering manager.
- Adhering to a hybrid work policy, requiring office presence three days a week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in research or product development of robotics, AD/ADAS, or related technologies.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on software development skills in C/C++ or Python.
- Language Proficiency: Working proficiency in English.
- Business Level Proficiency: Japanese (required for customer interaction).
NICE TO HAVES
- Advanced Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Automotive Experience: Experience in developing automotive software products, particularly in C++.
- Embedded Systems: Knowledge of embedded software implementation.
- DevOps: Knowledge and experience in CI/CD practices.
