About the Role

For our client, a dynamic company in the metropolitan area between Cologne and Düsseldorf, we are seeking a (Business) Controller (m/w/d) to support the Controlling team. This is a newly created position to expand the existing Controlling team. Internal development is highly valued by our client, and even as a motivated "Junior," you will quickly find your footing with the appropriate professional onboarding. However, as a "Senior," your professional experience will also make you a welcome new member of the team. This is a permanent, full-time position with our client; our services are completely free for applicants.

Responsibilities (Aufgaben)

• Analyze relevant key figures of the respective business units and derive well-founded recommendations for management.
• Act as a sparring partner for individual departments in the sense of a business partner.
• Create, develop, and automate various reports.
• Play a significant role in the setup and maintenance of BI solutions, ideally with Power BI.
• Support budget planning, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with departments to identify optimization potential.
• Ensure and continuously improve reporting processes.

Qualifications (Qualifikation)

• Completed business administration degree, ideally with a focus on Controlling, Finance, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in Controlling or in a comparable analytical role, for example, as a Business Analyst.
• Very strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers.
• Sound knowledge in the area of reporting.
• Experience with BI tools, ideally Power BI, is advantageous.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Structured, independent way of working, as well as strong communication and assertiveness skills.
• Good English skills are desirable.
