About the Role

As the founding US Talent Partner, you will be the first dedicated talent acquisition hire for the US market, responsible for establishing and scaling the US hiring function. You will own the strategy and execution of attracting and assessing talent for Sona's New York and Austin offices. Reporting to the UK-based Head of Talent, you will collaborate closely with the US-based CEO, Head of North America Sales, and other key leaders. This role demands high ownership, a proactive approach to building processes in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, and the ability to innovate, particularly by using AI to enhance hiring speed and quality.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of hiring for US-based roles across New York and Austin offices, including kickoff, sourcing, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Primarily focus on hiring go-to-market roles (sales, marketing), with additional support for Customer Success and other roles as the team expands.
  • Establish the foundational elements of the US talent and people function, including employer branding, process development, operational workflows, and ad-hoc people operations.
  • Innovate and implement AI-driven strategies to improve the speed, efficiency, and quality of the hiring process at Sona.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a full-lifecycle recruiter, capable of independently managing end-to-end hiring in a high-ambiguity setting.
  • Specialized expertise in recruiting go-to-market talent for high-bar, fast-moving organizations.
  • Strong sourcing skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain outbound candidate pipelines.
  • Data-driven approach to recruitment, comfortable owning the hiring funnel, analyzing metrics, and providing insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance recruitment speed, efficiency, and candidate quality.
  • Prior experience in VC-backed enterprise AI/SaaS environments is preferred.
