Role Summary
As the Sr. Director, Global Strategic Sourcing — China, you will lead and enhance our sourcing execution strategy from our China hub. Your responsibilities include building and developing a high-performing sourcing team, expanding supplier networks, improving vendor performance, strengthening manufacturing readiness, and ensuring sourcing excellence across key metrics.
You will play a critical role in optimizing BDA’s global sourcing capabilities by identifying business improvement opportunities, developing supplier improvement roadmaps, assessing manufacturing capabilities, and ensuring supplier partners meet our high standards for product quality, regulatory compliance, and client delivery. The ideal candidate possesses deep sourcing leadership experience in China, strong negotiation and supplier development expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
Core / Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sourcing execution team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, operational discipline, and improvement.
- Identify business optimization opportunities and drive sourcing excellence through global industry knowledge, vendor negotiation, resourcing strategy, cost benchmarking, and supplier performance insights.
- Drive continual improvement and innovation across sourcing activities, including vendor management, cost engineering, portfolio optimization, value optimization, supplier governance, and process efficiency.
- Evaluate manufacturing readiness by conducting supplier capability assessments, identifying production risks, and developing supplier improvement roadmaps.
- Drive scalability, speed, agility, and resource optimization across the sourcing execution model and supplier network.
- Expand and strengthen supplier networks across China while proactively identifying, assessing, and sharing relevant industry trends, product innovation, supplier capabilities, and market opportunities.
- Ensure supplier compliance with product manufacturing standards, product safety standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable FDA, USDA, international equivalents, and other consumer product compliance expectations.
- Apply knowledge of Consumer-Packaged Goods supply chain dynamics to optimize sourcing decisions, supplier selection, production planning, quality expectations, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, vendors, quality assurance, product, operations, merchandising, sales, and business leaders to improve tools, processes, handoffs, and operational efficiency.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of China-based manufacturing and sourcing/supply chain experience.
- A degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Strong supplier negotiation, vendor management, cost benchmarking/engineering, and supplier performance management experience.
- Proven experience building, leading, and developing high-performing sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain teams.
- Experience evaluating manufacturing readiness, conducting supplier capability assessments, identifying production risks, and building supplier improvement roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of supplier compliance, product manufacturing standards, product safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Code of Conduct.
- Experience working with FDA, USDA, international regulatory equivalents, and/or consumer product safety standards.
- Knowledge of Consumer-Packaged Goods, product-based supply chains, custom product manufacturing, retail, merchandising, or related product environments.
- P&L ownership/experience.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary Range: ¥750,000 - ¥800,000 RMB.
