About the Role

As a Procurement Specialist, your primary focus will be driving the Sales Market procurement strategy to cultivate an efficient, compliant, and future-ready supplier base aligned with Global C&F standards. You will lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance management to ensure robust partnerships, consistent compliance, and cost-effective, high-quality operations across markets. This hybrid role reports to our Facilities & Procurement Manager and is based out of the New York Support Office.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but a typical day will include:

  • Building and communicating procurement strategies within your Sales Market, in close collaboration with the Global and Sales Market Construction & Facilities team.
  • Managing the strategic governance of market agreements through constant follow-up and strategic meetings with major vendors.
  • Setting necessary goals and KPIs for procurement and supplier management.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of procurement-related audits and assessments (material and execution).
  • Securing sufficient partners to enable expansion, service delivery, and optimize overall investment and cost levels.
  • Supporting and executing procurements alongside Sales Market teams.
  • Managing procurement tools and templates (in LIMA and outside), such as RFI/RFP and agreement templates.
  • Reviewing, updating, and drafting general documentation to support Sales Market C&F teams, in partnership with the Legal department.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and supporting all parts of the organization in procurement-related matters.
  • Co-creating procurement guidelines and ensuring Sales Markets are up-to-date with the latest requirements.
  • Educating Sales Market teams on procurement, supplier management, and negotiation.
  • Working in close collaboration with Construction & Facilities teams in the Sales Market.
  • Representing your Sales Market in procurement forums and acting as a speaking partner to other functions.

Who You Are

  • Degree in Law, Facility Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Procurement certifications are meriting.
  • Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent supplier management capabilities.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and methodical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in procurement or related functions.
  • Background in retail facility and/or construction management is meriting.
  • Proven experience in setting up and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Experience working in an international, matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and seniority levels.
  • You are communicative, supportive, and consultative, with an analytical and methodical approach. You are conscientious, resilient, and driven to deliver results while maintaining strong relationships and collaboration across functions.

Compensation

  • Salary: $132,560
  • Job Status: Salary, Exempt
