About the Role

As an Embedded Software Engineer in the Production Engineering team, you will develop smart, reliable software solutions for our test benches and production tools. This ensures that our next generation of drones and robotic systems can be manufactured efficiently and smoothly — from automated testing to real-time troubleshooting.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Development and maintenance of automated test software for production test benches
  • Development and maintenance of embedded software for testing
  • Conceptualization, design, and implementation of tests for hardware functionalities
  • Development and optimization of test strategies to safeguard production quality
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving directly within our production processes — on both the software and hardware sides
  • Support with the implementation and maintenance of our internal production tools

What you bring to the team:

  • A completed degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a comparable field
  • Experience working with embedded systems
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and development on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers is required
  • Experience with C# or Python for frontend or tool development is an advantage
  • Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, or Ethernet
  • Basic knowledge of digital and analog electronics
  • Ideally, you have experience working with test frameworks such as Pytest, NI TestStand, openHTS, or similar
  • Confident use of Git and modern collaborative development processes
  • Enthusiasm for technology — whether drones, 3D printing, robotics, or simply tinkering
  • You work with self-motivation, take responsibility, and drive your topics forward independently
  • You communicate fluently in English and German
