Digital Artist (Contract)

About the Role

Join Fresh Prints, a New York-based custom apparel startup, as a crucial member of our innovative Art Team. You will be responsible for creating mock-ups and artwork for every order, playing a key role in ensuring designs are delivered quickly, accurately, and to a high-quality standard. This is a 3-month contractual position with the possibility of extensions based on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Upload mock-ups and artwork with speed and accuracy, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure artwork strictly adheres to client requests, manager instructions, and production requirements.
• Interpret and execute complex instructions with exceptional attention to detail.
• Recreate and clean low-quality artwork into production-ready vector files.
• Maintain strong Quality Assurance (QA) awareness by meticulously reviewing artwork for technical, aesthetic, and instruction-related issues before upload.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with Campus Managers and internal teams regarding revisions, concerns, recommendations, or clarification questions.
• Efficiently utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in a production-driven environment.
• Responsibly leverage AI-assisted workflows and tools to enhance presentation quality, workflow efficiency, and design support.
• Complete a defined number of deliverables daily, balancing speed, quality, and accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
• Reliability, responsiveness, and effective time management in a remote setup.
• Comfort in asking questions and seeking clarification for unclear requests.
• Receptiveness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to balance speed and efficiency without compromising quality.
• Strong comprehension of instructions and meticulous attention to detail.

Technical Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Proven experience creating and editing vector graphics, including from low-resolution source material.
• Ability to accurately recreate artwork using the Pen Tool and/or drawing tablets.
• A reliable computer capable of handling design workloads, coupled with a strong and stable internet and power connection.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and workflows is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly salary ranges from $400 to $600 USD, plus a night shift allowance, depending on schedule and responsibilities.

Job Details

• This is a remote "work-from-home" position.
• Work hours are 7 PM to 5 AM Manila Time, Monday to Friday.
• Start date is to be determined (currently pooling candidates).
• This is a 3-month contractual setup, with possible extensions based on business needs and performance.
