Job Description: dotCMS Developer

CapTech is looking for a skilled dotCMS Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of web content management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in dotCMS, adhere to web development best practices, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain web applications and content management solutions using dotCMS.
• Customize and extend dotCMS functionalities to meet specific business requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize dotCMS applications for performance and scalability.
• Stay current with dotCMS updates, industry trends, and best practices in web development.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience with the dotCMS platform and core web development technologies (Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, integrations, and deployment processes.
• Understanding of content management systems, workflows, and taxonomy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud hosting environments and DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and user experience principles.
• dotCMS certification or similar credentials.
