Payroll Administrator

Location: Spokane, WA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $26 - $31/hour DOE

A Day in the Life

  • Manage and maintain Zendesk tickets, providing support as needed.
  • Process all time data entry, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform payroll data entry, including employee earnings adjustments and allowances.
  • Process payroll end-to-end and set up new cycles.
  • Make decisions regarding employee/branch requests.
  • Process and distribute off-cycle checks according to company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal & multi-state payroll legislation and company policy.
  • Maintain employee records in accordance with government regulations.
  • Review and file certified payroll reports using multiple platforms (Emars, LCPTracker, WA L&I).
  • Monitor and address employee inquiries received through the Payroll Support Helpdesk.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in processing payroll.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum software is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Construction and union payroll experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read construction contracts.
  • Understanding of Prevailing Wage and Davis Bacon regulations.
