About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for an Operational Effectiveness leader to sit at the intersection of data, process, and people within our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) organization. You will translate complex performance data into actionable insights for leadership, build essential reporting infrastructure, and manage high-priority initiatives that span various operational domains.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics Infrastructure/Monthly Billing of Direct Invoice Customers
- Build and own the RCM reporting infrastructure, establishing reliable data extraction from Athena Health, Zuora, and NetSuite.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of monthly client invoicing.
- Develop and maintain a KPI dashboard covering key metrics like AR aging, DSO, denial rates, clean claim rates, and cash collection rates.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for RCM leadership, Finance, and executive leadership, translating operational metrics into clear financial implications.
- Establish data extraction protocols and SLAs for responding to client billing inquiries.
- Partner with Engineering to build automated reporting solutions.
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead or project-manage high-priority RCM initiatives, including system reconciliations and potential claims system replacements.
- Serve as the RCM organization's point of contact for cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Client Success.
- Manage the design and implementation of employer guarantee of payment enforcement workflows.
- Support the development and execution of key SOW deliverables, including the Revenue Leakage Quantification Model and KPI Framework.
Operational Governance & Process Improvement
- Own the RCM team's issue log, ensuring all identified problems are documented, assigned, tracked, and resolved with defined SLAs.
- Facilitate weekly RCM leadership meetings, setting agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring accountability.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the RCM SOP library, documenting workflows and operating standards.
- Identify and lead structured process improvement initiatives across the revenue cycle.
- Monitor compliance with payer contracts, timely filing requirements, and HIPAA/billing regulations.
Onboarding & Team Development Support
- Execute the development of the team operating structure and onboarding plan for new RCM hires.
- Design onboarding programs that pair new hires with documented SOPs.
- Track team build-out progress and report hiring and onboarding status.
Strategic Operational Support
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and executive updates in collaboration with the Head of Revenue Cycle Management.
- Manage the Head of Revenue Cycle Management's strategic agenda, ensuring priority initiatives are resourced and tracked.
- Serve as a communication bridge between the RCM team and other departments.
- Represent the RCM organization in cross-functional working groups.
90 Day Plan
- KPI dashboard live and operational within 60 days.
- Athena data extraction protocol defined and operational within 30 days.
- Core SOP library workflows documented within Phase 2.
- Issue log current with defined resolution SLAs.
- Client billing inquiry SLA established within 60 days.
- Onboarding plan delivered within Phase 1 timeline.
- Weekly reporting cadence established and accurate.
Must-Haves
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, healthcare analytics, or a chief of staff/operational leadership role within a healthcare organization.
- Strong analytical and data skills for extracting, synthesizing, and presenting complex RCM data.
- Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional healthcare initiatives.
- Working knowledge of revenue cycle operations (billing, eligibility, AR, denial management).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools, SQL, or reporting platforms is preferred.
- Demonstrates a proactive use of AI tools to improve output and efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation range: $117,000 - $135,000, based on experience and location.
