Job Description

Eurofins BPT-Columbia is seeking a Scientist I to join the Investigations team within the Biochemistry department. This is a remote position located in Columbia, Missouri. The Scientist I is an intermediate-level role focused on complex laboratory activities performed under established processes (protocols, SOPs, methods). Responsibilities include supporting research and development under CGMP and/or GLP guidelines, ensuring data accuracy and report quality, and performing complex analytical work using various techniques and instruments. The role requires increasing independence in managing studies and assignments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Practical knowledge of laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, ELISA, cell-based assays, etc.).
• Experience with a LIMS system is desirable.
• Understanding of internal processes for investigational work.
• Ability to assess root cause using fishbone or 5 whys.
• Ability to drive CAPAs and Investigations to completion on tight timelines by working across multiple departments.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work on multiple ongoing projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework.
• 1-3 years of experience working in a cGMP compliant lab.

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
• Location: Candidates living within a commutable distance from Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
• Compensation: $23/hour - $25/hour, depending on related experience.
