About the Role

To achieve our goal of serving 80,000–100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is seeking an Associate, Program Facilitation. In this role, you will craft engaging learning experiences both virtually via Zoom and through impactful in-person sessions. You will be instrumental in guiding our Fellows, equipping them with the essential skills and confidence needed to launch successful careers. Joining the Central Accelerator Team and reporting to the Director of Learning Lab Success, you will play a pivotal part in Braven's growth and mission to expand our reach and impact.

What You’ll Do

Facilitation of the Accelerator (35%)

  • Facilitate the Accelerator course year-round across fall, spring, and summer terms, leading 3–5 sections weekly. Be prepared for daytime and evening hours, including up to 3 evening sections per week.
  • Deliver dynamic, inclusive instruction using a research-backed curriculum tailored to diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating learning environment, employing various facilitation techniques to ensure active Fellow participation.
  • Contextualize high-quality course materials and resources to align with partner needs and organizational curriculum strategy.
  • Customize curriculum within defined parameters to address student needs and interests.
  • Lead impactful in-person Learning Labs each semester (up to 3 per section) to build vital face-to-face connections between Fellows and volunteer Leadership Coaches.

Collaboration for Fellow Success (35%)

  • Collaborate with Accelerator teammates to identify Fellows needing additional support or at risk.
  • Implement student support interventions and follow-up to encourage consistent engagement and success.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to Leadership Coaches for an optimal Fellow course experience.

Fellow Support & Engagement (25%)

  • Fellow Communication: Send weekly updates on upcoming Learning Labs and events. Monitor and respond to Fellow inquiries with a strong customer focus.
  • Community Building & Fellow Support: Build relationships with Fellows and Leadership Coaches. Actively listen, provide feedback, and connect Fellows to necessary resources. Review and act upon weekly qualitative feedback from Fellows. Solicit feedback on the course from various stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for Fellows, resolving course, content, or personal issues.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing (5%)

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to document best practices and innovative strategies.
  • Establish a knowledge repository to inform growth strategies and enhance impact.
  • Collaborate with Program Facilitators and Managers for problem-solving, peer observations, and promoting best practices.
  • Identify role and team development opportunities by analyzing data and feedback, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 0-2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent presentation skills and comfort engaging diverse audiences in-person and via Zoom.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across differences and engage authentically.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Enthusiasm for and success in coaching college students.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an interest in developing analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with high-quality execution and adaptability.
  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn Zoom, Slack, G Suite, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Exemplification of Braven’s core values.
  • Experience that aligns with Braven’s mission and prepares you to work with the student Fellow population.

Work Demands

  • Ability to work in-person in Chicago (IL) and New York (NYC) at least 3 days per week.
  • Ability to work on campus up to 10 times per semester.
  • Travel up to 3 times per year for partner visits and team gatherings.
  • Ability to work adjusted schedules, including up to 3 evenings per week and 1 weekend per semester, to support programming.

Compensation and Benefits

Braven offers competitive base salaries determined by market midpoint, role scope, and qualifications, without salary negotiation to ensure internal equity. Salary ranges are: $47,000-$58,700 in Chicago and $51,700-$64,600 in New York City, based on a 50-hour work week.

Benefits include:

  • Unlimited vacation time plus org-wide holidays and shutdowns (minimum 19 days/year).
  • $25,000 in lifetime Carrot benefits for fertility, family-building, and hormonal health.
  • 401K match up to 5% of base annual salary.
  • 85% coverage of health insurance premiums for employee and dependents.
  • A one-month paid sabbatical after 4 years of service.

Location

This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days/week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday-Friday). Employees must reside within commuting distance of Chicago (IL) or New York (NYC) hubs.
