About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, gain a deep understanding of our consumer lending business, and ensure precise and timely financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced fintech setting and is keen on process enhancement.

What You'll Do

• Prepare month-end working papers and journal entries accurately and on time.
• Conduct daily reconciliations for cash and loans receivable.
• Support ongoing operational accounting tasks.
• Assist with lender reporting by providing monthly reports and ad-hoc analysis.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Accounting to refine processes and workflows.
• Contribute to the annual financial audit process.
• Undertake other assigned duties, tasks, or special projects, with a focus on cost savings or efficiency improvements.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA designation is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, sumif).
• Solid understanding of IFRS concepts and daily accounting practices.
• Experience with Accounting ERP systems, audit, and Google Looker is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, dependable, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Experience in the financial services or lending industry is a plus.
