The Project
We are seeking a Developer for a 2-month fixed-term project to enhance our team. This role requires you to be based in Germany, with the ability to work remotely. Your application and cover letter should be in German.
Your Role & Responsibilities
React & TypeScript – Solid Foundation
- You must have a strong understanding of React: components, Props, State, Hooks (useState, useEffect, useContext), and simple Custom Hooks.
- Familiarity with TypeScript is essential; you should be able to define types and read compiler errors.
Supabase – Willingness to Learn Quickly
- Understand relational databases and be able to write basic SQL queries (SELECT, INSERT, JOIN).
- Grasp the concepts of authentication and authorization.
- You will learn Supabase on the job, but must be eager to dive into Row Level Security, Supabase Auth, and Realtime Subscriptions.
- Prior experience with Supabase, Firebase, or PocketBase is a significant advantage.
Foundational Web Development Understanding
- Solid grasp of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, forms, and routing.
- Understand API calls and data retrieval using fetch or axios.
Using AI Tools as Development Assistants
- Crucially Important: We develop using Lovable (AI-powered frontend building) and Claude Code (AI pair programmer in the terminal).
- While prior experience isn't required, you must be curious and open to using AI tools. Those who view AI as a threat are not a fit; those who see it as a productivity turbo are welcome.
Git & Basic Deployment Workflow
- Proficiency in Git: Commits, Branches, Pull Requests.
- Knowledge of deploying an app on Vercel or a strong willingness to learn this immediately.
Independent Work
- We operate without micromanagement. You will be given a task, a goal, and weekly check-ins. Between check-ins, work independently, document thoroughly, and ask for help only when truly stuck.
Your Profile
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Stripe (Webhooks, Checkout Session, Customer Portal).
- Knowledge of Supabase Row Level Security and policies.
- A personal app or side project you can showcase.
- Experience with transactional email services like Resend, SendGrid, or similar.
- Experience building a landing page or marketing website with React or Next.js.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code.
What We Offer
- Real Project Responsibility: You won't be building a practice app; you'll be working on a live SaaS product.
- Intensive Learning: Master a modern stack with AI tools that few developers currently master.
- Direct Feedback: Receive direct feedback from the founder, ensuring rapid learning.
- Flexible Remote Work: Work fully remotely, despite our location in Werther (Westphalia).
- Valuable Reference: Gain experience on a real SaaS product with your contribution clearly visible on your CV.
Remote Work & Working Conditions
- 100% Remote Work: Your work schedule is flexible and self-planned, ensuring harmony with client and colleague collaboration (typically Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 6 PM).
Framework & Compensation
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Dependent on experience and qualifications; a fair solution will be agreed upon.
- Contract: Fixed-term, 2 months.
Important: Remote work requires a professional workspace; working from bed is not acceptable.
