The Role: Asset Management Consultant

ProSidian is seeking an Asset Management Consultant with a specialization in Oil and Gas Operations Monitoring & Lifecycle Performance Support. This role is crucial for program support under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) and the Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program. This is an Exempt 1099 contract position, primarily remote within the USA, with the possibility of on-site meetings. The role aligns with the GSA Labor Category: Senior Consultant II.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Independent Engineering (IE) advisory services for energy infrastructure projects, focusing on asset management and lifecycle performance.
  • Conduct technical due diligence, credit evaluation, and lifecycle monitoring with an emphasis on asset strategy, lifecycle optimization, maintenance programs, and investment prioritization.
  • Review project documentation, assess technical and commercial aspects, and identify risks and mitigation strategies related to asset management.
  • Validate assumptions and support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews.
  • Prepare comprehensive work products such as asset management plans, reliability strategies, risk-based prioritization analyses, and performance improvement plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls.
  • Potentially participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, and monthly monitoring meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory.
  • Proven experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects, serving owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure lifecycle management, performance governance, maintenance strategy, and capital reinvestment planning.
  • Proficiency in independent engineering review, technical due diligence, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience with data room reviews, tracking information requests, report writing, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) documentation standards is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP are preferred.
  • Possess strong technical judgment, analytical rigor, attention to detail, and a client service orientation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Acrobat, and data analytics tools.
