SuperPlane is building an open-source control plane where AI agents and engineers run operations together. Founded by the creators of Semaphore CI/CD, our team of 10 has developed a product that engineers love, evidenced by our 2K+ star open-source repository. We're based in the USA and operate remotely.

The Opportunity: DevRel Content Creator

This is our first DevRel hire, offering a chance to define and own the developer relations strategy. You will be the primary voice translating our technical innovations into engaging content that educates and attracts our target audience of DevOps and platform engineers.

What You'll Own

Your responsibilities will be prioritized as follows:

1. Video Content: Create polished screencasts, product walkthroughs, and video demos showcasing SuperPlane's capabilities. Comfort on camera and solo production skills are key.
2. Technical Content: Develop practical use cases, write blog posts, tutorials, and guides, often flowing from product exploration to real-world application and documentation.
3. Community Presence: Actively engage as SuperPlane's voice in Discord, Reddit, Hacker News, and relevant DevOps Slack groups, fostering a welcoming and informative environment.
4. Events (Occasional): Represent SuperPlane at industry conferences and meetups a few times a year.

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

• Establish a consistent publishing cadence for written content and videos.
• Drive meaningful organic traffic and signups through content and social media.
• Build an active and visible presence in key community channels.
• Develop a growing library of referenceable use-case demos for sales and product teams.

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who possess:

• DevOps or Platform Engineering Background: Hands-on experience with deployments, CI/CD, and tools like Terraform or Kubernetes.
• Coding Proficiency: Ability to write working code for tutorials and spin up necessary environments independently.
• Deep Product Intuition: A knack for exploring tools and thinking in terms of workflows and use cases.
• Curiosity and Self-Direction: Proactive in identifying interesting topics and opportunities.
• Video Production Skills: Ability to create solo video content (screencasts, demos) without a dedicated production team.
• AI Tool Fluency: Daily use of AI tools for coding, drafting, and prototyping.
• Async Collaboration: Experience working effectively in a distributed, asynchronous team environment.

• Location: Remote-first (support for co-working costs available).
• Timezone: Support for GMT-5 to GMT+3 (US East Coast through Europe).
