About the Product Team

Our Product team is dedicated to advancing Karat's mission by delivering deeper value to engineering and talent leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, candidates, and Interview Engineers. We focus on creating experiences that evolve with rapid AI advancements in software development.

What You Will Do

As Principal Product Manager, you will own the product vision, strategy, and execution for our interview platform. Working directly with the VP of Product, you'll leverage deep user empathy and product thinking to create experiences that evolve alongside rapid AI advancements in software development, while collaborating across engineering, content, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

• Product Strategy & Innovation: Define the roadmap, evaluate AI leverage for stronger candidate signals, and shape Karat's strategy in the technical assessment market.
• Product Development & Execution: Prioritize features based on customer needs and business objectives; partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Analytics & Insights: Analyze assessment data to improve accuracy, design experiments, and enhance candidate performance signals using our extensive dataset.
• Market & Customer Focus: Monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, partner with GTM teams on expansion, and develop business cases for new offerings.

Note: This position requires a schedule that overlaps with U.S. business hours.

The Experience You Will Bring

• 8+ years of product management experience with B2B and B2C offerings; ideally, past experience as a software developer.
• Proven track record working directly with B2B clients in a SaaS environment, translating enterprise feedback into product decisions.
• Demonstrated experience defining, launching, selling, and scaling successful products with proven business impact.
• Ability to engage with senior, highly technical leaders on evaluating core software developer fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts and lead cross-functional teams.
• Successful experience in executive presentations, communicating business value, and gaining buy-in.

Location

This position is only available to candidates residing in Bengaluru (formerly known as Bangalore). Applications from other cities in India will not be considered.
