Ruffle is a small LegalTech team within LEAP, focused on helping lawyers analyse financial data, prepare accurate court documents and deliver better outcomes for their clients. You’ll join a collaborative, low-bureaucracy team with the flexibility of a start-up and the support of an established global business.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Junior Data Quality Analyst to ensure the financial data produced by our software tools is accurate, reliable, and useful. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. The role is part-time, Monday to Friday, working 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week.
You’ll review bank statements and other financial documents when our extraction tools encounter edge cases (e.g., balance discrepancies, unusual formatting, or uninterpretable transactions). Using your judgment and attention to detail, you’ll correct errors, validate running balances, and ensure the accuracy of data lawyers rely on. This is a junior role with no formal qualifications required; focus is on attention to detail, curiosity, logical thinking, and software confidence.
What You’ll Do
- Utilize internally developed software tools to extract information from bank statements and financial documents.
- Review extracted data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Check balances, transactions, and calculations to identify and correct errors.
- Investigate unusual formatting, reconciliation issues, and other edge cases.
- Collaborate with team members to improve internal tools, accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
- Identify recurring patterns and suggest improvements to products and processes.
- Test new features and provide practical user feedback.
- Create documentation for internal tools and data extraction processes.
- Provide wider support to the development team, including administrative and data entry tasks.
