About the Role
This position is ideal for manufacturing engineers proficient in transforming engineering designs into robust production processes. You will be instrumental in developing Bills of Materials (BOMs), creating essential build documentation, and industrializing engineered products. Experience with our core products—Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems, and Modular Data Centers—is highly advantageous, with a particular emphasis on BOM development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from early design stages through production release.
- Contribute to manufacturing deliverables, including BOM development, routings, tooling requirements, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Translate engineering designs into clear manufacturing strategies for modular and containerized products.
- Review designs for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, cost, quality, and production scalability.
- Provide support for prototype, pilot, and early production builds.
- Identify and help resolve manufacturing issues during early builds in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
- Support documentation for fabrication, assembly, electrical integration, mechanical systems, and quality checks.
- Collaborate with supply chain and sourcing teams to validate components, lead times, supplier readiness, and material availability.
- Partner with quality teams to define inspection points, acceptance criteria, and control plans.
- Ensure production handoff readiness by verifying complete and accurate documentation for operations.
- Assist with identifying manufacturing risks related to process complexity, tooling, labor, cost, schedule, safety, and supply chain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, NPI, production engineering, or similar roles.
- Experience supporting engineered products, industrial equipment, modular systems, power systems, or electromechanical products.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, assembly, production documentation, and build readiness.
- Experience working with BOMs, routings, work instructions, production documentation, or ERP/MRP-related manufacturing data.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and operations teams.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining strong alignment with U.S.-based teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BESS, energy storage, power generation, generator sets, modular data centers, or containerized power systems.
- Strong BOM development experience.
- Experience in high-mix, engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with NPI phase gates, APQP, PPAP, or similar structured product launch processes.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, pilot builds, production ramps, or manufacturing handoffs.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical integration, including switchgear, UPS, inverters, batteries, engines, alternators, cooling systems, or power distribution.
- Familiarity with UL, NFPA, or other industrial / electrical safety standards is a plus.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Experience working with U.S.-based manufacturing or engineering teams is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical judgment and excellent documentation skills, with the ability to effectively bridge engineering and production. You should be comfortable reviewing technical information, developing BOMs, supporting manufacturing readiness, and driving products efficiently from design to production.
Experience with BESS, GenSets, Data Centers, modular infrastructure, or complex electromechanical systems will be particularly valuable.
