Account Director - Tech Brand

About the Role

As an Account Director, you will be instrumental in leading retainer clients, campaign projects, and new business development for a prominent tech brand. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage key client relationships, spearhead strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team. You will act as the primary expert for client account service needs while actively driving business development to fuel growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present to clients and attend client and partner meetings and events.
  • Take an influential leadership role in retainer clients and new business initiatives, leveraging client relationships for business growth.
  • Develop and deliver strategic client presentations, offering concise, creative, insights-based, and social-first solutions.
  • Manage client financials, including forecasts, budgets, and investments, ensuring timely invoice payments.
  • Develop team members through training, coaching, and identifying growth areas.
  • Oversee simultaneous project work-back schedules and deliverables for the cross-departmental internal team.
  • Manage and track progress across functions, workstreams, and key milestones.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the client's industry, competitors, and evolving consumer landscape, developing trend reports and case studies.
  • Control the quality of work produced, ensuring it meets client requirements and agency standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Well-organized, a proven self-starter able to initiate, prioritize, and drive projects from inception to measurement.
  • Experienced marketer in brand partnership building and creating high-impact, social-first marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with creators and influencers.
  • Deeply tapped into culture, music, entertainment, fashion, etc., with impeccable taste.
  • Experience running an influencer program and managing social media channels.
  • Experience creating and implementing social media strategies.
  • Experience running a $2M+ account.
  • Familiarity with clients in tech, electronics, telecom, or related industries.
  • Experience in a big agency environment, working with large, complex client organizations.
  • Strong background in account management leading cross-functional teams in a social, influencer, cultural, or entertainment-focused fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze briefs, structure responses to complex challenges, and deliver projects efficiently.
  • Experience interacting with junior to senior-level clients and growing relationships.
  • Experience managing a team to achieve results.
  • Flexibility to travel (10-20%) and attend staff events as needed.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and social/creator tracking tools (Sprinklr, CreatorIQ, Captiv8).
  • 8+ years of agency experience; tech or related industry is a strong advantage.
  • Strong balance of analytic and creative thinking.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the social & influencer space.
  • Ability to manage direct reports and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with influencers, creators, and talent.

Location & Work Style

  • Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in office.
  • Must reside in one of our US office locations: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Miami.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $145,000 annual salary
