CaraConsult is a specialized consulting firm for the Caravaning industry. Our clients are primarily medium-sized businesses involved with motorhomes, caravans, and recreational vehicles. We help them improve processes, leverage data more effectively, implement digitalization initiatives, and make economically sound decisions.

Our IT is closely linked to these areas. We not only operate internal systems but also develop our own applications, data solutions, automations, interfaces, and reporting solutions. A significant part of our work involves understanding technical requirements from daily operations and transforming them into pragmatic, stable, and usable solutions.

We are not looking for someone who has mastered every single topic perfectly. What's important to us is a solid technical foundation, a willingness to learn, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to dive into established systems and new challenges.

Responsibilities

• You will work on IT and digitalization topics in ongoing operations and projects. This includes supporting and further developing our Microsoft 365 environment, contributing to internal systems, data and reporting solutions, automations, interfaces, and technical customer projects.
• You will analyze requirements, assess technical possibilities, and pragmatically implement improvements. The focus is not just on short-term functionality but also on ensuring solutions are understandable, maintainable, and stable in the long term.
• Depending on your experience and personal focus, you can contribute more strongly to IT operations, software development, data processing, automation, infrastructure, or technical customer solutions. It's important that you want to view technical topics holistically and understand that development, operations, documentation, and continuous improvement are closely linked.
• You will also help make existing solutions more transparent, document knowledge more effectively, and develop technical structures step by step.

Qualifications

We don't expect you to master every technology from the start. What's crucial is that you have a good overall technical understanding and can navigate various IT challenges confidently.

Particularly relevant for us are:

• Several years of experience in the IT field, for example, in administration, system support, technical project work, digitalization, software development, data processing, or a comparable role.
• Practical experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, or a similar language.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365, especially users, groups, permissions, SharePoint, Teams, and basic administration or support processes.
• Experience or a good fundamental understanding of working with data, databases, SQL, reporting, and Power BI.
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with existing applications, automations, interfaces, and technical processes.
• Basic understanding of productive systems, hosting, deployment, server operations, or cloud platforms.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements, identify priorities, and implement pragmatic solutions.
• Structured approach to work, sense of responsibility, and willingness to document knowledge comprehensibly.
• Interest in understanding business requirements and customer processes.

Power BI is particularly relevant for us as we currently use it intensively for data, reporting, and customer solutions. You don't need to master every detail perfectly, but you should either have practical experience with it or be very willing to learn it quickly and intensively.

This role is particularly well-suited for individuals who enjoy technical breadth and do not want to focus on a very narrow field of tasks. We have established systems, concrete customer requirements, and many topics that need pragmatic development. This requires technical understanding, initiative, and the willingness to take responsibility for solutions.

It's also helpful if you enjoy switching between different topics, are not deterred by unclear requirements, and prefer to improve existing structures rather than complain about them. We are looking for someone who works cleanly but doesn't just pursue theoretical ideal solutions. Ultimately, solutions should work, remain understandable, and provide real value for our team or our customers.

You don't need prior industry knowledge in the Caravaning trade. However, it's important that you want to understand how our customers work and what technical solutions genuinely help them in their daily operations.
