About the Role: Principal Client Partner

As a Principal Client Partner, you will be a key player in our high-energy sales organization, focused on breaking and accelerating revenue across key categories. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue with partners by developing and delivering well-thought-out solutions that help them build their brands. You will utilize your industry knowledge, data-based strategies, understanding of high-value audiences, cutting-edge technology, and deep product portfolio to build trust and foster impactful partnerships. This role demands persistent and persuasive communication, a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape (including programmatic and custom content solutions), and proven partnership success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Achieve revenue goals by building, developing, and servicing new business.
  • Cultivate relationships at all levels within agencies and client organizations.
  • Strategically prospect to identify and qualify new categories and accounts not currently spending with Tripadvisor.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of Tripadvisor’s product suites and effectively communicate their value.
  • Develop and execute a focused sales strategy, managing a high volume of RFPs.
  • Proactively provide client partners with innovative solutions to meet their business challenges.
  • Integrate fully into the proposal and media plan process through to crafting final reporting within a lean team structure.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (research, ad operations, client services) to ensure world-class partner service delivery.
  • Manage a sales pipeline with timely and accurate forecasting.
  • Foster and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture, embodying Tripadvisor's core values.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of digital media experience with a proven track record in building mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Experience at a leading media company, technology platform, or social media platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and decision-making in daily work.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with a global-first mindset.
  • An entrepreneurial and competitive spirit, with enthusiasm for building new business.
  • Experience successfully driving revenue through discovery, prospecting, and new business creation.
  • Ability to develop, launch, and execute complex, integrated partnerships.
  • Capacity to manage multiple live campaigns concurrently for both new and returning clients.
  • Strong writing skills for crafting compelling presentations and creative audience stories.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, effective at all levels of an agency or client organization.
  • Passion for and deep knowledge of the online advertising industry.
