About the Role: Visiting Analyst/Associate
As a member of our investment team, you will play a crucial role in screening the market, sourcing, and analyzing investment opportunities. You will support the team in closing and managing deals, as well as contributing to the fund's day-to-day operations. Responsibilities (Aufgaben):
- Source investment opportunities through market research, direct company outreach, and leveraging your existing network within the startup industry.
- Assist in the investment process (both investments and divestments), focusing on deal preparation, analysis, and due diligence.
- Manage or support projects related to our portfolio companies and fund operations.
Qualifications (Qualifikation):
- Currently enrolled at a top-tier university, pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering, preferably at the Master's level. MBA or gap year candidates are also welcome.
- Gained initial work experience in an operational role (e.g., startup, corporate, own venture) or a service role (e.g., consulting, banking, VC), with significant exposure to the internet industry, typically through prior internships.
- Possess a superior understanding of AI-enabled business models and their underlying economics.
- Demonstrate an analytical and numbers-driven mindset, coupled with empathy for people, customer needs, and products.
- Share Acton's investment philosophy of combining analytical rigor with empathetic intelligence.
