The Opportunity
BABLE Smart Cities is seeking a full-time Trainee or Junior Advisor to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany, starting immediately. You will play an integral role in supporting projects related to digital innovation, EU and national funding, smart city strategy, and public sector engagement, primarily within the DACH market. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
Your Tasks
- Project Support: Gain hands-on experience contributing to real-world projects in climate action and smart cities, working closely with public and private sector stakeholders.
- Workshop Facilitation: Design, prepare, and support the facilitation of workshops with stakeholders, translating insights into practical, actionable outcomes.
- Client Outreach: Support client outreach and communication through data-driven analyses, high-quality materials, structured mailings, and active participation in meetings.
- Ecosystem Engagement: Engage with city representatives and ecosystem partners as part of BABLE's international innovation network, building a strong professional network in the smart cities ecosystem.

Your Profile
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
- Education: Currently pursuing a master's program in Energy Engineering, Sustainable Mobility, Environmental Engineering, Smart Cities, or a related field, OR possessing practical experience in a relevant area with outstanding academic achievements.
- Languages: Native or professional-level fluency in both written and spoken English and German is mandatory.
- Public Sector Awareness: Understanding of how public sector organizations operate, including municipalities, regional authorities, and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Office Presence: Motivation to work regularly from our Stuttgart office to ensure close collaboration with the team is mandatory.
