About the Role

We are seeking a Senior CRM Designer to enhance the quality, scalability, and technical reliability of our CRM creative assets. This hybrid design-development role requires bridging the gap between sophisticated visual design and practical technical implementation. You will not only design CRM assets but also build responsive, production-ready emails capable of reaching millions of customers and rendering flawlessly across major email clients (Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook) on various devices and in dark mode. This role is crucial for moving beyond manual CRM template workflows to improve the overall quality, consistency, and efficiency of CRM production, ensuring our lifecycle communications are polished, on-brand, and technically robust at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design visually compelling, on-brand CRM emails and lifecycle communications using Figma.
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive, production-ready HTML emails.
  • Build clean, email-safe HTML and CSS, incorporating table-based layouts, inline CSS, and responsive structures.
  • Ensure reliable email rendering across major email clients, including Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, mobile environments, and dark mode.
  • Integrate motion design principles into CRM creative, balancing visual impact with the technical realities of email production.
  • Collaborate with CRM, Marketing, Product, Brand, and regional teams to enhance the quality and performance of lifecycle communications.
  • Standardize CRM templates, QA processes, and documentation to enable teams to work faster while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Test, QA, and troubleshoot emails before launch, utilizing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid.
  • Iterate on design systems, templates, and email execution based on performance insights, A/B test results, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Explore and implement AI and automation solutions to reduce manual work, improve QA, accelerate production, and scale creative output.

Core Requirements:

  • Proven ability to build HTML emails from scratch, not just design them.
  • Hands-on experience with table-based layouts, inline CSS, responsive email design, and email-safe development patterns.
  • Solid understanding of mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and dark mode optimization.
  • Extensive experience designing marketing, CRM, or lifecycle emails in Figma.
  • Deep understanding of the nuances of email design compared to web design, including client constraints, rendering quirks, and technical trade-offs.
  • Strong visual design skills with the ability to create clear, polished, brand-aligned communications.
  • A meticulous QA mindset focused on universal email functionality and rendering.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketers, designers, product partners, and technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where quality, speed, and scalability are paramount.
  • Curiosity and drive to leverage AI, automation, or smarter workflows for production quality improvement and reduction of repetitive tasks.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with MJML or similar email frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CRM or email marketing platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot).
  • Experience with A/B testing, lifecycle experimentation, and performance optimization.
  • Basic knowledge of deliverability best practices.
  • Experience creating reusable CRM components, modular email systems, or scalable template libraries.
  • Experience partnering with CRM, lifecycle, retention, or growth marketing teams.
  • Exposure to localization workflows and multi-market CRM production.
